I was saddened today to hear the news that Pleasurewood Hills former general manager, Alexis Camelin has passed away.
I was fortunate enough to meet Alexis in person during his time at the park between 2010 and 2013. His enthusiasm for little old Pleasurewood Hills was a joy to behold.
Under his management, the park introduced a number of popular attractions including HoBs PiT which caught the attention of media outlets across the globe.
After Pleasurewood Hills, he went on to develop and manage the re-build of Dreamland in Margate and more recently, he was involved in the development of Camel Creek in Cornwall.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Suchlike awfully sad and completely unexpected news 😢
What makes it even worse is that I recently saw/heard of his presence somewhere on social media and I thought to myself "oh its good to hear he's doing well".
He had such a creative mind and done wonders for our tiny park in such a small space of time.
I also loved how he got involved with everything, all the YouTube videos etc. I mean, we all knew who his name, didn't we? I can't remember the names of the previous two managers.
Such sad news 😢
